- Advise on the procedure for selecting finalists.
- Conduct background checks on finalists.
- Make arrangements for candidate interviews.
- Insure agreement and cooperation throughout the process.
Candidate Selection
- Assist the search committee in identifying candidates who deserve final consideration.
- Prepare candidates for interviews if desired.
- Review interview format with your representatives.
- Assist with setting interview schedules.
Candidate Appointment
- Provide information on compensation and benefits packages.
- Work closely with your committee and other institutional principals to achieve a mutually acceptable agreement.
- Provide counsel in finalizing the appointment letter or contract.
- Work with your representatives and the appointee to achieve closure to the search process.
Search Completion
- Notify remaining candidates of the search outcome.
- Advise on all search process records and the submission of required documents.
- Acknowledge all who were involved in the search.
Follow up and Evaluation
- Consult periodically with your representatives and the appointee, to determine satisfaction of each.
